Sugar Ray Robinson has been named the all time greatest boxer in a list of the all time top 50, that will leave some people a little miffed at their standing.
Sports fans love to discuss who the greatest of all time is in any sport and the debates are always controversial and difficult to decide who is right.
Boxing magazine 'The Pugilist' have posted one fans top 50 boxers of all time and Sugar Ray Robinson leads Muhammad Ali as the top two.
Manny Pacquiao is the highest active boxer in 11th and Floyd Mayweather might be the most annoyed boxer on the list, with 'Money' finding himself in 39th.
You can debate these kind of lists ad nauseum, but every one of your 50 were great fighters. And so are some who were left off. And you can endlessly discuss proper order. I choose not to #boxing https://t.co/6DfX1C4CVl

Best I ever read on The Top 100 all time was Bert Sugar's book. Too bad he's not still with us to write another. But if he was, he'd surely think Mayweather is higher than No. 39 all time https://t.co/9vdItSMdge

Floyd would be in my top 20, but overall, I think it's very difficult, if not impossible, to judge fighters who fought hundreds of times, to guys who fought twice a year in their prime. https://t.co/8idKZ2duhu

For lots of current boxers they're having their chances of ending up on the list in the future undermined by Covid-19, with the sport, like all others, taking a big chunk of the year off.
However Tyson Fury's chances of being considered an all time great heavyweight are improving. The Brit has confirmed his rematch with Deontay Wilder for later this year and agreed a deal to fight Anthony Joshua next year.
Should he win both then he'd have dominated the division in his era, especially when you include his victory over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.
