Tony Bellew fell short of beating Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena to claim the IBF, WBO, WBA and WBC Cruiserweight Championships.
The 31-year-old Ukrainian boxer took down the 35-year-old Brit in the eighth round, despite Bellew putting on a strong showing and being ahead on the judges' scorecards.
There was another twist in the tale when former rival David Haye approached him after the fight.
Bellew fought the 38-year-old Brit in back-to-back fights and took home bragging rights on both occasions. When it came to this meeting, however, there was no bad blood between the two.
"Ah, f*****g hell, he was there!" Haye told Bellew (via FightHype). "You was winning that s***. You did everything humanly possible."

Haye, who was working as a pundit for Sky Sports, told iFL TV what he and his former rival also spoke about in their conversation.
"I said, 'You did everything you could do, you boxed great,'" he explained. "'You were just fighting a guy...'
"He understood that.

"He said he trained as hard as he could, he gave as much as he physically could. He just got outboxed. The class showed."
Bellew has called it time on his boxing career after the match, but he has revealed that he is open to fighting in the UFC.
