It's official. Martyn 'the scariest man on the planet' Ford will finally face off against Sajad 'Iranian Hulk' Gharibi in a boxing match on April 2, 2022.

This one has been a long time in the making but after years of speculation surrounding a possible bout, it was confirmed by both men on social media earlier that a fight will take place at the O2 Arena in London next year.

Ford, who stands at a towering 6ft 8 inches tall, is a well-known British actor, bodybuilder and personal trainer with over three million followers on Instagram, while 390-pound weightlifter Gharibi has also amassed a huge fanbase on social media.

The pair have never fought in an official bout as of yet, despite Ford training in the MMA discipline for a number of years, but one thing is for certain; there is some real tension between both men.

In an Instagram post that confirmed the fight was taking place in 2022, Ford couldn't promise the most technical fight but said things have got "very personal" with him and Gharibi.

"The London 02 is booked. I would absolutely love to put on an event you guys will never forget," Ford said on Instagram.

"This to me is very personal...things have been said that can't be taken back, by numerous people in his circle.

"I will release exactly what at the press conference and you will see just why this is so personal to me. I can't promise you the most technical fight in the world but I will promise you that I will bring my absolute everything and turn this into an event you will never forget.

"I would absolutely love to pack this arena out and have 20k screaming friends and family show this guy exactly what it means to be strong enough to stand up for what you believe in."

Ford has also promised that he will "win in no time" against 'Iranian Hulk' Gharibi, who has remained fairly quiet on the matter.

Last year, however, he called out UFC president Dana White on social media, suggesting the UFC should have a super heavyweight division.

"Some of these tiny and skinny fighters make me really bored @danawhite," he said. "Super heavyweight fighting can be more exciting, believe me. I'm totally ready for it, just tell me who is at my style and level, and where I should smash him."

"I come to Octagon for a real battle, not for fun, I will announce the opponent in the first press conference. 180kg.

Will you be watching the fight on April 2 next year?
