John Fury’s last professional boxing fight ended in a brutal one-punch knockout.

‘Big’ John hasn’t fought in pro setting since his boxing contest against Steve Garber back in June 1995.

But a return appears to be on the cards, having called out ex-world champion Carl Froch – as well as Joe Egan – to a fight following the incident at Tyson Fury’s launch presser for his comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov.

John called for a fight against Froch to be on the undercard of his son’s Netflix card at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 11.

In a video shared on social media, he says: "You’ve got yourself a fight, Mr. Froch. Eight weeks, Tottenham. I don’t need six months' training. I’m ready to go now, my pal."

Froch, who hasn’t fought since his Wembley Stadium showdown against George Groves in 2014, accepted John’s challenge and called himself the ‘chosen one’ to be able to silence the 60-year-old.

"I feel like I’m the chosen one. I feel like it might be my job to finally shut this big gobsh*te up. All he does is run around running his mouth,” Froch said on his YouTube channel. “John, one final time, listen to me so it goes into that thick skull. I accept the challenge but know one thing, I’m going to come over to your corner and absolutely fucking stick it on your Cobra style."

'The Cobra' enjoyed a decorated pro career, reigning as a world champion at the peak of his powers.

He claimed the WBC and IBF world titles in the super-middleweight division following his big wins over Jean Pascal and Lucian Bute.

Froch also beat Jermain Taylor in a stunning come-from-behind victory and boasts two stoppage victories over domestic rival Groves, including a blistering one-punch knockout in front of 80,000 fans.

John, however, didn’t have a glittering pro career and ended his spell as a pro boxer with back-to-back defeats, including a crushing knockout defeat to Garber.

He fought Garber in a six-rounder in Manchester in 1995.

Garber, who fought the likes of Julius Francis and Mike Tyson conqueror Kevin McBride, scored a big win inside the distance. He stopped Fury in the fourth round of their heavyweight contest after landing a stinging right-hand that floored his opponent.

Sprawled across the canvas, John failed to beat the count, with the referee waving off the fight.

His defeat to Garber happened to be the last fight of his pro career.

But, as mentioned, Fury could make the walk again following his call-out of Froch.
