Jake Paul gave an interesting answer when asked how long it would take for him to knock LeBron James out ahead of his bout with Anthony Joshua.
Youtuber-turned-boxer Paul will take on former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua in Miami on December 19.
The fight is scheduled for eight three-minute rounds, with most boxing experts expecting Joshua to knock Paul out inside the first six minutes of the contest.
‘The Problem Child’ has boxed just once at heavyweight previously – against Mike Tyson in November of 2024 – while Joshua has competed at the weight throughout his 32-fight professional career.

Olympic gold medallist Joshua has fought some of the best heavyweights of the past two decades, including Oleksandr Usyk (x2) and Wladimir Klitschko, and is also heavily linked with potentially facing fellow Brit Tyson Fury in 2026.
As for Paul, at first glance his record of 12-1 looks impressive with the American’s only loss coming against Tommy Fury in 2023, but wins over Ben Askren, Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, Mike Perry, Julio Cesar Chavez Junior must be caveated with the fact all of the aforementioned names were well past their primes and also competing in boxing rather than MMA, the sport they made their name in.

The 28-year-old has also boxed ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and fellow YouTuber Ali Eson Gib.
But fighting Joshua, who is a more skilled boxer and ultimately a bigger man, will be Paul’s toughest test yet.
Despite the Ohio fighter being written off by many, he still promised to deliver the “biggest upset in sports history” when speaking during fight week.
“I've studied David and Goliath going into this fight," Paul told ESPN.
"There's a split-second moment where Goliath draws back his arrow, and that's when David can hit him. I believe the same thing will happen here. There's going to be a moment when Joshua is exposed, and I know I have the power to be able to beat him."
In another interview, this time with Overtime, Paul was asked how many seconds several celebrities and sports stars would last against him.
He claimed that iShowSpeed would last 45 seconds.
Next came NBA icon James, who Paul suggested would last three to two and a half minutes.
‘The Problem’ child also said that he’d knock streamer, Adin Ross, out in 10 seconds before saying he’d knock out Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce “probably in two minutes” and Kevin Durant in one minute and a half.
This comes after Paul previously teased a fight with LeBron on X back in 2020.
“Let’s see who the real king of Ohio is,” Paul wrote in a post mentioning James.
But for now, it appears that ‘King James’ is fully committed to shooting hoops rather than potentially lacing up a pair of boxing gloves.
How to watch Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua if you don’t have Netflix
If you don’t already have Netflix, there is a workaround to essentially get it for ‘free’ as part of a bargain bundle.
Sky is currently offering its ‘Stream on Screen’ package - including Netflix, discovery+ and much more - for just £15/ month. It’s Sky’s lowest-ever price and will allow you to watch the big fight live along with Sky Atlantic, Sky Stream and Sky Essential TV.
