Oleksandr Usyk had the coldest response when reporter questioned if the scorecards for Tyson Fury fight were correct

Usyk won the fight by unanimous decision.

Oleksandr Usyk delivered a no-nonsense response to being asked if the scorecards were correct for his heavyweight bout against Tyson Fury.

The Ukrainian fighter retained his heavyweight titles on Saturday night as he was awarded a unanimous decision victory over Fury, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-112.

It was a controversial decision, to say the least. Many thought the fight was close, so there was an air of surprise by the four-point margin, with promoter Frank Warren expressing his bewilderment at the outcome.

After the result was announced, Usyk was asked about the scorecards. He simply responded: "I win. It's good. I win. Thank you god."

Fury, meanwhile, was clearly devastated about Saturday's result and snubbed a post-fight interview.

Earlier this week, The 'Gypsy King' issued a threat of "pain, hurt and damage" to Usyk before opening up having a more serious approach to the rematch.

Usyk's promoter Alexander Krasyuk picked up on that fact. "I see a completely different Tyson Fury," he said. "He's not playing any more. He's so focused, concentrated. He doesn't even smile anymore."

It was clear that Fury was deadly serious about what was arguably the biggest fight of his career to date, and his performance in the ring matched that following an entertaining Christmas-themed walk-on.

After a cagey opening round, Fury appeared to win the second as he landed a big right hand that made Usyk stumble momentarily.

Fury continued to stay disciplined throughout round three, throwing out his jab while Usyk landed several body shots that didn't have much effect.

It was a finely balanced affair but a superb lead left uppercut from Fury saw Usyk's head rock backwards in round five. That being said, the Ukrainian continued to threaten in round six, catching his opponent with a flush straight left towards the bell.

And in the latter stages, Fury looking the more tired of the two as Usyk outworked his much heavier opponent for large spells.

Fury weighed in four stone heavier than Usyk for Saturday's heavyweight clash; something many people commented on during the latter stages.

One wrote: "Fury is starting to slow down. The weight may be betraying him," and another said: "Fury with the big weight, he looks to be feeling it a bit now."

A third commented: "Sky commentators keep talking Fury leaning his weight on Usyk. There is nothing to show for it - Usyk is fighting as fast and sharp as he was in Round 1, and we’re heading into the 11th."

A fourth wrote: "Whoever came up with the final decision to let Fury put on all that weight is who lost him the fight. Maybe it was his dumb decision. He’s very slow."

A fifth added: "That weight might be holding fury back atp. Usyk’s movement is great."
