Vince McMahon once pitched a WWE storyline that was said to be so 'disturbing' that his daughter Stephanie was forced to turn it down.
A docuseries surrounding the co-founder of WWE premiered on Netflix on Wednesday, which promises to 'delve into the controversial reign' of McMahon at the top of professional wrestling.
The series chronicles his life, from the beginnings of what was then the WWF to the present day.

It features over 100 hours of interviews from top wrestling figures, including Hulk Hogan, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, John Cena and McMahon himself.
While McMahon did participate in a number of interviews from 2021 onwards, Netflix reveal that he cancelled his final interviews for the show after allegations of sexual misconduct and hush-money payments emerged in June 2022.
He also does not comment on sex abuse and trafficking allegations made against him by former WWE employee Janel Grant in January of this year.

The docuseries also includes interviews with members of McMahon's immediate family, including wife Linda, daughter Stephanie and son Shane.
Out of his immediate family, it is Stephanie who has been the most prominent figure in WWE programming over the previous several decades.
In 1999, she married her future real-life husband Triple H on screen, and they were expecting their first child in 2006.
But instead of incorporating the pregnancy into WWE programming, Vince pitched a storyline that would have seen him be announced as the father of his own daughter's child.

In unearthed footage from a previous WWE documentary, Stephanie explains: "My dad did approach me about wanting to be the father of my baby on TV.
"It is only the second time I've actually said no to him, to something he wanted to.
"That one was a little too gross, actually. It was completely disgusting. I don't see the entertainment value in that at all.
"And he's actually my father. How could I even play that out? I can't fake kiss my dad like we were in love or something. It was just revolving."

Stephanie then revealed that Vince pitched for Shane to be the father - which, again, was unsurprisingly turned down.
In the 'Mr McMahon' docuseries, both Stephanie and Vince are asked about the storyline.
And while Stephanie decides not to talk about it further, Vince laughs when he is asked.
The docuseries, which runs for six episodes, can be viewed in full on Netflix from today.
