Prosecutors have 'make a decision' on charging Raja Jackson after the incident involving wrestler Syko Stu.
In August, Jackson, the son of former UFC light-heavyweight champion Quinton 'Rampage Jackson' shocked fans when he attacked Stuart Smith, known by his wrestling name Syko Stu, at an independent wrestling event in Los Angeles.
Footage showed Jackson entering the ring, slamming Smith onto the ground and then punching him repeatedly while he lay unconscious. The clip quickly went viral, with sports fans expressing disbelief at the level of violence.
According to the LA Times, Jackson will be charged with one count of misdemeanour battery in connection with the incident at a KnobX Pro Wrestling Academy event. Prosecutors will also seek for a sentencing enhancement, claiming that Stuart suffered great bodily injury during the attack.

The assault caused Smith to lose several teeth and suffer a laceration to his lap.
Jackson had been arrested by Los Angeles police on suspicion of felony assault last month, but later released on bail.
The case has attracted widespread attention, with even his father Rampage Jackson, saying he believes his son should spend some time behind bars.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani last month, he said: "If the judge thinks he should go to jail, yeah, I think Raja should go to jail, so he’ll learn not to do this sh*t no more
"Like, you gotta control your emotions.
"People are saying he should go to jail for 10 years, no, he should go to jail, not prison.

"If they try to give him years in prison, then I’mma fight it because I don’t think he deserves years in prison.
"But jail? Let Raja go to jail for a couple days, so he’ll see what it’s like, so he’ll be like, 'Man, I don't wanna come back here'
"I think that he should do a little time
"Do a little community service, and go to anger management class, seek some therapy."
According to the district attorney's office, a criminal complaint is expected to be filed on Monday.
The LA Times also reported that calls and emails to Jackson and his representatives were not been immediately returned, and it remains unclear whether he had retained an attorney.
Jackson is expected to appear in court later this week for his arraignment.
