He has changed his mind.

Luke Littler has changed what he wants to spend his £35,000 prize money on.

On Thursday, Littler continued his remarkable run at the PDC World Championship by cruising into the last 16 with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Matt Campbell.

The 16-year-old, the youngest player to reach the last 16 of the World Championship, will face five-time world champions Raymond van Barneveld on Saturday.

The Runcorn-born teenager has already guaranteed himself some £35,000 after recording wins over Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding and Matt Campbell.

He will pick up £50,000 if he secures a win over van Barneveld in the next round, and should he do the unthinkable by becoming world champion, Littler will receive a whopping £500,000 cheque.

When Littler was previously asked what he would spend his prize money on, he insisted he just wanted to go for a big trip to one of England's biggest theme parks.

"All my friends are watching at home," he said. "We've always said we need to go Blackpool or Alton Towers so I think they will be looking at me like 'you're paying, Luke' and I'll be like, yeah, okay!"

However, when asked the same question by the Telegraph, Littler explained that he actually merely wants a new tracksuit and to purchase some points for the football video game EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA).

Littler said: “I always treat myself to some Under Armour tracksuits.

“And just get myself a new coat and get myself some Fifa points for my Xbox. That’s pretty much it.”

Ahead of their £50,000 round of 16 encounter, Van Barneveld admitted he has been impressed by what he has seen from the teenage debutant at the Alexandra Palace.

He told Sky Sports: "I'm thinking 'wow, what a quality player. To do this on such a high level, that's quality.

"He will definitely get his tour card next year, he's an amazing player, but I don't play players, I play the board.

"I'm not afraid of Michael van Gerwen, I'm not afraid of (Luke) Humphries, I'm not afraid of Phil Taylor, I'm not afraid of Luke Littler.

"But to beat these guys, you've got to produce quality and that's what I'm going to do. I'm one of the last to get through to the last 16, so we get back to the hotel, do some press work and focus on the next match."
