Luke Littler will celebrate his 19th birthday with a trip to Dubai following his Saudi Arabia Darts Masters final win over Michael van Gerwen.

The teenager was crowned the inaugural Saudi Arabia Darts Masters champion on Wednesday night following wins over Paul Lim, Gian van Veen, Gerwyn Price and Van Gerwen in Riyadh this week.

Van Gerwen managed to move within one leg of Littler at 4-3 and 5-4, but the Dutchman struggled at the final hurdle as the reigning world champion secured a 8-5 win at the Global Theater.

As a result of his latest tournament win, Littler pocketed £30,000 in prize money, meaning he has amassed more than £3.3 million in total career earnings.

Speaking after winning the final against Van Gerwen, Littler confirmed he will fly to Dubai this week with girlfriend Faith and his parents.

“I will celebrate my birthday now," he said. “I will go to Dubai with my family and girlfriend and have three days off."

“It didn’t work out last week in Bahrain. I’m really glad to come over to Saudi Arabia and be the first winner. Hopefully we can come back here as players and someone will hit a nine-darter next year."

Littler added: “I started to find my form before the break. I’m really glad to win. Us players came over here and didn’t know what to expect. It was a brilliant turnout, so thank you to you guys.”

The 19-year-old has vowed to treat them for their continued support, according to The Sun.

The report adds: "The modest sum he gets for winning four games in a row over two days in the inaugural event can now go towards an extravagant shopping trip."

Luke Littler spent £1 million World Championship prize money in a week

Following his 7-1 win over Gian van Veen at the World Championship this month, Littler reportedly purchased a five-bedroom property on the outskirts of his hometown of Warrington, Cheshire.

A report from the Mail claims that the darts number one has bought the house for his parents, with the property being described as a "stunning extended family home" with a hot tub, solar panels, and a huge open-plan kitchen.

A source explained: “Luke's a young man. He's bought this place and is living there with his mum and dad but in time he'll spread his wings and the hope is they will stay there.

"It's not a bad Christmas present for them but it's only what they deserve having done everything to help him get where he is today.”

Although it is unclear exactly what Littler paid for the property, it was on the market for close to £1 million last year, having changed hands in January 2021 for £710,000.
