Luke Littler gets Ally Pally crowd involved as he attempts 'big fish' checkout, he's something else

The 16-year-old performed some showboating antics during his quarter-final clash against Brendan Dolan.

Luke Littler decided to get the Ally Pally crowd involved in the action during Monday afternoon's World Championship quarter-final against Brendan Dolan.

The 16-year-old, from Runcorn, has recorded dominant wins over Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding, Matt Campbell and Raymond van Barneveld at this winter's tournament in London.

And on New Year's Day, he was once again rampant as he dominated in the early stages against world number 28 Brendan Dolan.

In fact, in the opening set, Littler got the crowd involved after hitting two treble 20's.

As you can see from the footage below, the teenager turns around before asking the crowd whether he should go for the bullseye or not. Check out that moment below:

Littler, who will take home a huge amount if he beats Dolan, proceeded to miss the bull but went on to secure the opening set after going 2-0 behind.

Here's how social media reacted to the scenes.

One said: "Dolan did not look impressed with that," while another commented: "He is an unbelievable player. Just goes up there, has fun and smashes everyone."

A third wrote: "I'm not having the stick he's getting for this. He's having the time of his life, imagine if it went in. Pandemonium man, go for it."

A fourth said: "Needs to be careful with the showboating, although to be showing this charisma at age 16 is just crazy," while a fifth added: "The confidence this lad has is crazy."

Littler is not short of self-belief. Last week, following his 4-1 win over five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld, the teenager said he could go "all the way" at this year's PDC World Darts Championship.

"It is an incredible feeling. My cover shooting was unbelievable, my doubles got me over the line, and I think I am daring to dream now. I have seen the draw," he said.

"I am only three wins away now. I'm so young, only 16 and I have got nothing to fear, I have got no-one to fear, my game can be better than anyone's on the day and I have shown it there against one of the greatest who have graced that stage.

"I've pictured myself winning it. I look at the draw and see Brendan next and then Chris Dobey against Rob Cross in the other quarter... I fancy myself. I do fancy myself."
