Luke Littler will win life-changing prize if he beats Brendan Dolan in World Championship quarter-final

Luke Littler will win life-changing prize if he beats Brendan Dolan in World Championship quarter-final

The 16-year-old Darts sensation will come up against Brendan Dolan on Monday afternoon.

Luke Littler has already reflected on how much life has changed during his incredible run in this year's World Championship – and things could be about to get even more insane with a win over Brendan Dolan.

The 16-year-old thrower has garnered worldwide attention in recent weeks after recording dominant wins over Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding, Matt Campbell and Raymond van Barneveld.

As a result of his record-breaking performances on the Ally Pally stage, Littler has been thrown into the limelight. Last week, he opened up on becoming a household name in the UK.

"I'm doing interviews with Sky Sports. Usually I am up in the morning watching Sky Sports News," he smiled. "Now I am on the news. It's all incredible. I am taking it all in my stride.

"My life has already changed. At the West Ham vs Arsenal game the other day, people were getting photos with me."

He added: "When I was putting my hood up, people were walking around in front of me asking for a picture and I was like, 'What? I've got my hood up, I'm trying to hide.' But it's all good that people are wanting pictures, I'm glad."

After such an impressive year, Littler will come up against Brendan Dolan on Monday as he attempts to reach the semi-final of the biggest competition in darts. So how much would he win?

Littler is guaranteed at least £50,000 from his performances so far but if he does manage to beat world number 28 Dolan, the teenager will double his prize money to a life-changing £100,000.

The winner of Littler vs Dolan will face either Chris Dobey or Rob Cross in the semi-final.

And if the youngster reaches the showpiece final after beating Dobey or Cross, he will earn £200,000 for being a runner-up, or £500,000 if he manages to lift the Sid Waddell Trophy.

When Littler was previously asked what he would spend the prize money on, he insisted he just wanted to go on a big trip to one of England's biggest theme parks.

"All my friends are watching at home," he said. "We've always said we need to go Blackpool or Alton Towers so I think they will be looking at me like 'you're paying, Luke' and I'll be like, yeah, okay!"

However, when asked the same question by the Telegraph, Littler explained that he actually wants a new tracksuit, as well as some points to spend on the popular video game EA Sports FC.

“I always treat myself to some Under Armour tracksuits. And just get myself a new coat and get myself some FIFA points for my Xbox. That’s pretty much it.”
