Angry Ginge took part in his first Bushtucker trial on 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' on Monday evening and fans immediately weighed in with their verdict.

The 24-year-old, a streamer and content creator, signed up for the jungle show in Australia to complete an incredible year which saw him star in Soccer Aid for England at Old Trafford.

Ginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, made a great impression in the very first episode, where he won a challenge to earn a spot in the 'luxury getaway car' alongside Aitch, Eddie Kadi and Jack Osbourne.

That bagged the quartet a steak dinner and the best beds in camp but reality set in for Ginge not long after when he and Ruby Wax were voted to take part in the first eating trial called 'The Divey' as a nod to the plush 'Ivy' restaurant.

The duo turned up at the “revolting restaurant where every morsel will be miserable" and were tasked with eating a slew of disgusting dishes in order to earn meals for camps.

Camel toe, a pig’s testicle, crocodile's anus, snails, a witchetty grub and cockroaches and mealworms were all on the menu for the pair. But despite nearly being on the verge of throwing up and some tough moments with moment even looking like a VAR check was needed, they passed with flying colours and took home a full set of stars.

Baller League manager Ginge stole the show again with his humour and personality during the trial, helping Ruby enjoying back and forth banter with Ant and Dec - as well as coming up with a gem of a phrase when he said a "dip's a dip" in reference to his beechworm sauce.

One user on X reacted: "The concept of angry ginge going from twitch streaming in his room to eating mealworms infront of the british public on TV."

A second commented: "Are Ruby Wax and Angry Ginge the new unlikely duo? It’s Joe Swash and George Takei all over again!"

A third added:"Angry ginge in this food task smashing it! What a guy pushing ruby to finish too."

A fourth wrote: "I really like Angry Ginge honestly."

A final person posted: "Thought I would dislike angry ginge but I actually think he’s my fave."

I'm a Celeb's new trial rule

Installed as the early favourite to win, Ginge could benefit from a brand new rule brought in by I'm a Celeb producers this year. If he is voted to do a second consecutive trial and partake in the 'Jungle Doomsday Vault', he will then be exempt from the next one as no contestant will partake in three in a row.

The rule was brought in to ensure all members of the camp do trials instead of the same person mixing it with all the creepy crawlies.
