I'm A Celebrity viewers have come to an immediate verdict over Angry Ginge during the first episode of the 2025 show.

Ginge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, is one of the first 10 contestants to enter the camp in New South Wales, Australia.

The Baller League manager and content creator took part in the traditional opening episode challenge, where the campmates are split into two groups of five.

Ginge was grouped together with Alex Scott, Ruby Wax, Jack Osbourne and Lisa Riley as they competed for two places in the getaway car to main camp.

Each contestant had to unscrew a star while snakes were placed over their head and neck.

It was Ginge and Osbourne who unscrewed their stars first and won the challenge.

Ginge had an eventful start to jungle life - starting with when he told US comedian Wax what his real surname was.

She replied: "I see why you changed it!"

Prior to leaving for Australia, Ginge was priced up as the favourite to win the show - and fans are full of praise for how he dealt with the first challenge.

One wrote: "Angry Ginge up there as early fave to win."

A second said: "Angry Ginge will be fun to watch."

While a third commented: "Aitch and Angry Ginge will be one of the funniest duos this series."

A fourth wrote: "Angry Ginge is gonna be fantastic this year."

A fifth declared: "I've seen enough... Congratulations, Angry Ginge, on winning I'm a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here 2025."

And a sixth revealed that Ginge had already changed their mind: "I was a little underwhelmed with Aitch and Angry Ginge being announced. But I have been happily proven wrong. Already my favourites."

At the end of the show, it was revealed that Ginge had been voted to take part in the first eating trial of the series on Monday night's show, together with Wax.

Who else is on I'm A Celeb this year?

In the second group, Aitch, Kelly Brook, Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty and Martin Kemp took part in a separate trial - starting when they all completed a skydive from an aeroplane.

Tom Read Wilson and Vogue Williams are reported to be entering the camp as late arrivals, but ITV have not officially confirmed the identities of the two additional campmates to the Australian jungle.
