Niko Omilana 'Reveals' Identity Of Masked Premier League Player In Baller League

The mystery player joined Baller League last month.

Niko Omilana has signed a new player to his Baller League team - with fans believing he has revealed the identity of the 'masked Premier League player' in the process.

Social media star Omilana caused a frenzy last month when he claimed that an 'active' Premier League player would be joining his team.

Fans developed various theories as to who the player could be, with Brighton's James Milner and West Ham's James Ward-Prowse brought up as potential candidates.

The theories only intensified when the masked player made his debut and was immediately placed on free-kick duty, which is one of Ward-Prowse's specialities.

He got off to a slightly rough start, with former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge describing him as 'miles off it', but the masked player smashed in a hat-trick as Omilana's NDL FC side won their first Baller League match of the season earlier this month.

But in a new YouTube video, Omilana has confirmed that the masked player has officially retired from Baller League and has 'gone back to his league', meaning he will no longer take to the pitch.

He has already been replaced by Kevin Weggen, who is one of the top stars of Baller League Germany for Calcio Berlin.

The 32-year-old, who is Calcio Berlin's all-time top goalscorer, is an active amateur footballer in Germany and has played in the nation's fifth tier.

Many fans speculated that Weggen was indeed the masked player, and the fact that he has now officially joined the team - at the same time as the 'retirement' of the masked player - suggests that he was indeed the man behind the mask.

In the YouTube video, Omilana states: "The mystery player has unfortunately retired. He's had to go back to his league.

"But we've made a new signing, a very special signing, who I think can bring something new to the team.

"His name's Kevin Weggen, the top scorer of all time in the Baller League. The league will never have seen anything like it."
