The masked player said: "When I joined NDL, Nico promised me I'd be the heartbeat of the team and I already know that some people are questioning why I'm here. Yeah, I was a bit disappointed in week one.
"I mean, I would have liked to have shown my abilities a bit more, but I don't know what Daniel Sturridge is talking about when his team is sitting on zero points.
"Crazy how a manager who lost his first game is talking about me... when all I did was take one free-kick."
The mystery player added: "I'll show him levels next week. I've taken this personally. I'd like to let my football do the talking."
