PSG have already identified Harry Kane as Kylian Mbappe replacement with clubs having 'reopened talks'

PSG have already identified Harry Kane as the Kylian Mbappe replacement.

Paris Saint-Germain have already identified Harry Kane as their Kylian Mbappe replacement, it has been claimed.

Al-Hilal have seen a world-record €300million (£259million) bid for Mbappe accepted by PSG, with the Saudi Arabian side willing to have the forward for only one season if it gets the deal done.

The Saudi Pro League club's approach comes after PSG left Mbappe out of their pre-season tour of Japan, with the intention of selling the 24-year-old if he doesn’t commit to a new deal.

While PSG have accepted the offer, there have been no talks between the Saudi club and Mbappe, with the French giants convinced the forward has agreed to join Real Madrid in a year.

Should the move transpire it would destroy football’s financial norms, with Mbappe having been offered a world-record wage, which transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims is €200million a year (£172million).

Having already seen Lionel Messi depart earlier this summer, PSG will look to act quickly to replace the France international. And it has been claimed the club have reopened talks with England striker Harry Kane.

Kane to PSG?

On Monday Relevo claimed PSG had reopened talks with Tottenham to sign Kane this summer.

The French club are reportedly intent in landing the England international in the coming weeks as they look towards life after Mbappe. Spurs are said to have a good relationship with PSG, which may help in negotiations.

Indeed, Tottenham’s chairman, Daniel Levy has been told by the club’s majority owner Joe Lewis, that Kane cannot be allowed to run down his contract and leave for nothing next year.

The England record goalscorer, who celebrates his 30th birthday on Friday, is in the final 12 months of his six-year Spurs deal. He has attracted interest from several leading clubs including Bayern Munich, who have made two bids for the player.

While Levy is adamant Kane is not for sale, he has been told by Lewis that if a reported £400,000-a-week contract is not signed, Kane must be sold this summer. It has been reported he could fetch up to £100million.
