Jose Mourinho has reportedly requested that Real Madrid sign another ex-Premier League star after securing the transfers of Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva.
Since arriving at the Santiago Bernabéu for a second stint as Real Madrid head coach earlier this month (June), Mourinho has wasted no time in making his demands clear.
Following long-time president Florentino Perez's re-election, Real lodged a £130 million bid for Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez, which was promptly rejected.
And while that saga will continue to unfold throughout the summer, Real have already confirmed the signings of Cucurella from Chelsea and Konate from Liverpool.

Inter full-back Denzel Dumfries has also been heavily linked with joining the La Liga giants, while Silva has also arrived in Madrid following the expiration of his Manchester City contract.

Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who both joined Real last summer, form a growing pool of ex-Premier League stars currently at the 15-time European champions. Defender Antonio Rudiger also previously played for Chelsea.
And the list of former English top-flight players at the club may be set to increase further this summer as, according to Spanish outlet Marca, Mourinho has personally requested that the club sign Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
Fernandez, who is under contract at Chelsea until 2032, is valued at £120 million by the Premier League side.
West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes is also a target, despite interest from both Spurs and Manchester United, although the signing of both him and Fernandez is unlikely at this time.
It had been reported that talks had begun between Chelsea and Madrid over Fernandez's potential departure.
However, the Daily Mail suggests sources have confirmed that no official contact has been made.
Chelsea are still expecting an approach from Real, with personal terms expected to be agreed.
Fernandez's former Chelsea team-mate Cucurella has already welcomed the addition of the Argentine to Real's squad.
"He's a great player and a friend of mine," Cucurella told Marca.
"He congratulated me on the signing. I hope it happens. I would be very happy.
"We were very happy at Chelsea, and to have the opportunity to both sign for Real Madrid in the same summer. I hope he's lucky and becomes a Real Madrid player."
Fernández, who joined Chelsea from Benfica for a then British-record transfer fee of £106.8 million in 2023, has registered 31 goals and 30 assists in 169 appearances for the Blues.
What has Enzo Fernández said about his future?
Fernández has also voiced his admiration for the city of Madrid, admitting he'd like to live in the Spanish capital as it reminds him of the Argentinian capital, Buenos Aires.
"I really like Madrid - it's similar to Buenos Aires," he said in March.
His comments landed him in hot water with then Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior, with the player subsequently banned for two games.
This led to the player's agent, Javier Pastore, branding the sanction "completely unfair".
Pastore said: "Enzo didn't understand the situation. When the coach told him, he accepted it because he's a highly professional guy who's always fully committed wherever he is and respects decisions.
"But we don't understand the punishment because he doesn't mention any club or say he wants to leave Chelsea, far from it.
"He only mentions Madrid, the city, because he was asked which European city he'd like to live in one day.
"He said Madrid because of the language, because it's similar to Buenos Aires and because it's logical – it's only natural for an Argentine to say that – and also because of the culture and the weather. But at no point does he say he wants to leave Chelsea or London."
