Antoine Semenyo Wanted by Premier League Club Following Impressive Start

Antoine Semenyo has been linked with a move to Bournemouth.

Antoine Semenyo has attracted interest from a Premier League club after his blistering start for Bournemouth.

Semenyo, 25, is fast becoming one of the best players in the Premier League after his impressive displays for the Cherries.

Last Friday, the winger played a key role by scoring twice and assisting one as Bournemouth recorded a 3-1 comeback victory over Fulham.

As a result, Semenyo has now amassed six goals and three assists in the opening seven matches of the Premier League campaign.

The Cherries currently sit fourth in the table with 14 points, two adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Since moving to the Vitality Stadium from Bristol City back in 2023, Semenyo has scored a total of 28 goals in 97 appearances across all competitions.

Speaking about Semenyo's fine form, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola said: "He is in a very good spot, and he has been growing a lot every season. I think he is a player with confidence, and we need to try to keep him there.

"There are still areas that I think he can improve in, but now he is a player who is making the difference."

Recently, it has been claimed that Semenyo is now attracting the attention of one of the Premier League's big hitters.

According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Chelsea have emerged as a 'genuine contender' for the 25-year-old's signature.

It has been suggested that the Blues are willing to pay as much as £78 million to lure Bournemouth into parting ways with their talisman.

However, Chelsea are set to face competition from the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.

During the summer transfer window, Chelsea had already brought in attackers such as Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens and Estevao. Adding Semenyo to the mix will for sure give Enzo Maresca an extra boost.

After the international break, Chelsea will take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, with Bournemouth facing Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
