Former Manchester City and Spain striker Alvaro Negredo has tipped Cole Palmer to leave Chelsea in a huge transfer.
Ever since Pep Guardiola sold Palmer to Chelsea in September 2023 in a deal reportedly wroth up to £42.5million, the Englishman has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League.
Across 101 appearances for the London club, Palmer has scored 45 goals and assisted 29, with perhaps his most notable being his brace and one assist against Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the Club World Cup.
So far this season, the 23-year-old has struggled to get regular minutes as he continues to struggle with a recurring groin injury, making just four appearances across all competitions.

But according to former City striker Negredo, Palmer's time at Stamford Bridge could be coming towards an end as he has tipped a major European side to make an effort to sign him in the near future.

Palmer's spectacular form since leaving City has no doubt attracted the interest of several of the biggest clubs in football.
However, for Negredo one club stands out as the clear next location for Palmer should he decide to leave Chelsea sometime in his career, Real Madrid.

“Cole Palmer is a fantastic player. Chelsea are a great team but the truth is I do see him at Real Madrid," Negredo told CoinPoker.
“I see him at Real Madrid because he's a player with incredible qualities. He has dribbling, finishing, strength, and physicality. I think he's a player that, at a global level, every team will want to have.
“Surely from now until the end of the season, or in two years, Madrid or another team will be trying to make that signing.”

As it stands, Palmer sill has nearly eight years left on his current deal with Chelsea, keeping him past his 31st birthday, having signed a two-year extension to his initial massive contract in the summer of 2024.
Therefore, it would likely cost Real Madrid, or any other team interested in signing Palmer, a massive transfer fee well over £100m if they hope to pry him away from Stamford Bridge in the future.
