Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar “Didi” Hamann believes Sadio Mané is actively seeking to force a move to Bayern Munich this summer.

The Senegal international has made clear that he is considering his future at Anfield. The 30-year-old stated last week that “60 to 70% of Senegalese want me to leave Liverpool'' so Mané “will do what they want.”

Hamann came through the Bayern academy as a youngster and from what he has heard Sadio Mané “wants to come to Munich.” The German club’s initial bids for Mané are understood to have been knocked back by the Reds, but Hamann insists “it’s very likely” the forward will make the switch to Bayern.

Hamann also had his say on the future of current Bayern talisman Robert Lewandowski, who he believes “wants to join Barcelona” this summer. As such, the former Bayern Munich, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester City midfielder believes deals which will see Mané and Lewandowski depart their current clubs will be completed in the “next few weeks.”

Mané has firmly established himself as a Liverpool legend over the course of his tenure at the club. Signing for the club in 2016, the tenacious winger has since bagged himself 120 Liverpool goals across all competitions. He has surpassed all expectations fans had of him when he was brought in from Southampton.

Liverpool will have a difficult task on their hands in replacing the 30-year-old if he is to get his wish and move to Bayern this summer. The Reds have been linked with a number of high-profile names such as Darwin Nuñez, Raphinha and Serge Gnabry. Klopp’s side also held an interest in PSG superstar Kylian Mbappé before he extended his contract with the French capital club.

Liverpool are seeking to bring in roughly £30 million for the Senegal international. Moving on Mané and the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita could hand the Reds some hefty ammunition to use in the transfer market. That said, for Jürgen Klopp, there will never again be a forward at his club quite like Sadio Mané.
