Cristiano Ronaldo Told His Family That He'd Score A Hat-Trick Against Atletico Tonight

It's well known that Cristiano Ronaldo has the utmost confidence in his own ability.

And to put his incredible self belief into perspective, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner made a bold prediction to his friends and family ahead of tonight's Champions League second leg tie against Atletico Madrid,

Despite his side being 2-0 down thanks to goals from Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin, the Juventus forward has repeatedly told those closest to him that he believes his side will progress.

In fact, he told friends and family that he will score a hat-trick against the La Liga side on Tuesday night, according to Spanish publication Marca.

Cristiano's record against Atletico in Champions League football is certainly impressive, so a flurry of goals may just be on the horizon.

In seven games against Diego Simeone's side, the 34-year-old has scored four goals, assisting three times and losing just twice in that period.

And he's already found the net against Los Colchoneros with a stunning header in Turin.
