One account incredibly predicted that Liverpool's title race would be ended by World War III, four years before the potential outbreak of the war actually could be responsible for the Reds not winning the title.

The Reds are currently unbeaten after 20 league games this season and 13 points clear of their closest rivals, Leicester City, with a game in hand, and currently look unstoppable.

However on Friday 'World War III' started trending on Twitter with people believing that the death of Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani, killed by US air strike, would start a war.

However Coral actually predicted that the war would stop Liverpool winning the title back in 2016, incredible.

Football fans reacted to the possibility of World War III on Friday with the realisation that it might be the only way to stop Liverpool from winning the Premier League for the first time:

Klopp's team's win against Sheffield United on Thursday evening took their current unbeaten run in the league to a year, with their last defeat coming at the hands of Manchester City, and means they've not lost in 37 games.

It's only the third time in Premier League history a side has gone unbeaten for a year with Chelsea's run from 2004-2005 and Arsenal's in 2003-2004, part of their invincible run, the other two.

The Reds could equal the Gunners' record of 49 games undefeated if they go up to their game against City on April 4th without tasting defeat and come away from the Etihad still undefeated.

Can Liverpool match Arsenal's invincibles?
