Jarrod Bowen's leaked EA FC 27 rating is the highest in EFL history

West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen will receive the highest rating in the history of the EFL on EA FC 27, according to the latest leaks.

Bowen has stayed at the Hammers despite their relegation from the Premier League, having agreed to a new, revised contract at the London Stadium.

He assisted Max Kilman in West Ham's 2-2 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor on the opening weekend of the Championship season.

Bowen is the overwhelming favourite to win the Championship's Player of the Season award for 2026/27, with West Ham also favourites to win the title and seal an instant return to the Premier League under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 29-year-old forward has scored 38 goals and provided 25 assists in his last three Premier League seasons, meaning he is one of the few Hammers players to avoid receiving a downgrade for EA FC 27.

Instead, Bowen will remain at an 83 overall, meaning he has the highest base game rating for an EFL/Football League player since Ultimate Team began in 2009.

His pace has been downgraded from 76 to 75, though his passing attribute has gone up one overall to 79 from 78. His physical is also up one, from 70 to 71.

In EA FC 26, the highest-rated EFL player at the game's launch was Sheffield United midfielder Gustavo Hamer at 77 overall.

In EA FC 25, Luton's Alfie Doughty was rated at 77, along with Leeds defender Max Wober.

Until Bowen, the joint record has been held by former Leicester duo Ricardo Pereira and Wilfried Ndidi, who were rated at 79 overall in EA FC 24.

When EA FC 27 ratings are being revealed

The first batch of EA FC 27 ratings were released on Monday, with EA symbolically naming the top 27 rated men's and women's players.

Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Alexia Putellas are the joint highest-rated players on the game at 91 overall, with Aitana Bonmati dropping from a 91 to a 90 after being out of action for large parts of last season due to a broken leg.

New Trabzonspor signing Mohamed Salah has also lost his 91 rating, and has dropped to 87.

Lionel Messi, meanwhile, has gone up three overall points to 89 overall after guiding Argentina to the World Cup final.

Rating reveals have been staggered throughout the week, with Premier League/WSL and Bundesliga/Frauen-Bundesliga ratings announced on Tuesday before La Liga/Liga F on Wednesday.

Wednesday's batch of ratings also included the Saudi Pro League, with Cristiano Ronaldo downgraded to 84 overall - with 67 pace - to represent his lowest-ever Ultimate Team rating.
