After months of transfer speculation, Jarrod Bowen has committed his immediate future to West Ham United by signing a revised contract ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Bowen, who scored 11 goals in 42 appearances this season, was being strongly linked with a move following West Ham's relegation to the Championship, with Brentford, Everton and Liverpool among those interested.
Aston Villa were also said to be keen but on Friday, it was announced that the 29-year-old has agreed to a so-called 'contract adjustment' at the Hammers, according to a report from The Athletic.
So, what does this mean? It appears Bowen has not signed an extension beyond his current seven-year deal, which was signed in 2023 and ends in 2030, but it does ensure he commits his future to West Ham for the upcoming campaign.

Bowen's decision to stay will come as a huge relief to West Ham and their supporters following the departure of Mateus Fernandes.
Since joining the club from Hull City in 2020 for around £22 million, he has been arguably their standout player over the last six years, recording 85 goals and 63 assists across 280 appearances.

Speaking about his decision to commit his future to West Ham, Bowen said: "The main motivation for me is staying and bringing this club back into the Premier League where we belong."
He continued: "There is always going to be rumours and different things going on. For me, it was only right to speak when the time is right, in circumstances like this.
"It hurt everyone and it should hurt everyone. It was such a disappointing thing but it doesn't last forever.
"We flew out to Prague in the Czech Republic to meet with Daniel [Kretinsky] and Jiri [Svarc]. The ambition that I got from them in terms of the direction the club wants to move in interested me a lot.
“I did an interview after the [Leeds] game and said my vision is to get this club back in the Premier League.
"Sometimes you think it falls on deaf ears and people say ‘he’s just saying that’. There have been things written and different things said and you have to look at it and bite your tongue sometimes."
West Ham may need summer overhaul as several players linked with move
In terms of outgoings, West Ham will be hoping to keep hold of their best assets for the upcoming campaign, but it appears Crysencio Summerville could leave this summer following interest from elsewhere.
Serie A side Roma are being strongly linked with a move for Summerville, who is also attracting interest from Manchester United.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Edson Alvarez and El Hadji Malick Diouf are also being linked with a transfer.
