Cristiano Ronaldo's EA FC 27 card 'leaked' as fans stunned by one stat compared to Lionel Messi

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to receive his lowest base card rating in Ultimate Team history on EA FC 27, according to the latest leaks.

Al Nassr star Ronaldo, who stated last week that this season could be his last as a professional footballer, was rated at 85 overall at the beginning of EA FC 26.

But the 41-year-old i received another downgrade, and is now rated at 84 overall, as per Twitter account ASY FUT.

While his shooting remains his highest base card stat at 88, his passing has dropped from 76 to 75 and his dribbling down to 78 from 80.

His physicality has also received a downgrade of minus one, and is now rated at 75.

But his biggest decrease is in pace, with Ronaldo given just 67 pace - a downgrade of nine from his EA FC 26 base stat.

In comparison, Ronaldo's long-time rival Lionel Messi has 76 pace, despite registering a lower top speed (30.8km/h compared to 31.6km/h) than Ronaldo at the 2026 World Cup. Messi has received an upgrade of plus three to 89 overall from his EA FC 26 card.

Ronaldo was rated at 89 overall when Ultimate Team debuted in FIFA 09, before receiving an upgrade to 93 for FIFA 10.

He would then battle Messi for the title of the highest-rated player in the game for many years, much like their real-life battles for the Ballon d'Or.

The title of highest-rated player in EA FC 27 is jointly held by Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Alexia Putellas, who are all rated at 91 overall.

Aitana Bonmati (91 down to 90) and Mohamed Salah were also rated at 91 in EA FC 26, with Salah's official rating for the new game not confirmed yet after his move from Liverpool to Trabzonspor.

EA FC 27 highest-rated players

The EA FC 27 ratings reveal has been staggered over recent days, with ratings continuing to be unveiled.

Over 200 players have so far been announced, consisting of Premier League, WSL, Bundesliga and Frauen-Bundesliga players outside of the top 27 - announced on Monday - for each gender.

Common player items have been removed for EA FC 27, meaning every card is now simply gold, silver or bronze.
