"What's next..." - Rasmus Hojlund's trainer teases transfer amid Man Utd swap deal reports

"What's next..." - Rasmus Hojlund's trainer teases transfer amid Man Utd swap deal reports

Could he be on his way to Old Trafford?

Rasmus Hojlund's personal trainer has fuelled speculation over the Atalanta striker's future amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

United have been strongly linked with Hojlund as the club continues its search for Cristiano Ronaldo's permanent replacement at Old Trafford.

United were interested in Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen earlier this summer.

But with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations restricting the club's transfer budget, United have turned their attention to cheaper targets – including Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta's Hojlund.

It appears United have made Hojlund their priority with the club ready to submit an opening bid for the Denmark international, according to The Telegraph.

It is claimed that United are prepared to offer £50m for the 20-year-old, who scored 10 goals in 34 games for Atalanta last season after joining from Austrian side Sturm Graz.

The Manchester Evening News claim United manager Erik ten Hag has already held multiple video calls with Hojlund over a potential move to Old Trafford.

Hojlund and Greenwood to swap clubs?

The MEN claimed on Friday that United have decided to loan Mason Greenwood out and could include him in a potential swap deal for Hojlund.

Greenwood remains suspended by United and the club is yet to decided whether he will return to the squad ahead of pre-season.

Ten Hag is said to be 'reluctant' to sell the striker, with United set to loan him out instead.

Atalanta are interested in signing the former England international and 'extensive talks' have been held between officials from the Italian club and United football director John Murtough.

A possible swap deal that would see United sign Hojlund on a permanent deal and send Greenwood on loan to the Serie A club has been discussed.

The speculation over Hojlund's future has now been fuelled by his personal trainer.

The account ENERGETICX COPENHAGEN posted a video of Hojlund training to their Instagram story on Saturday, alongside the caption: "We ready for what's next", followed by the shushing face emoji.

The account made sure to tag Hojlund, fuelling rumours the striker could be heading to Old Trafford this summer.
