Sky Sports announce new title track for Premier League coverage and fans have completely lost it

Sky Sports' coverage for Premier League game has a brand new song which will be debuted this weekend.

Sky Sports' coverage of the Premier League will include a new title track for the 2025/26 season and beyond - it has been confirmed.

The English top flight is back on Friday night as champions Liverpool host Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday.

That game will be shown live on Sky Sports, as will Manchester City's Saturday night trip to Wolves, Chelsea's visit of Crystal Palace and Manchester United's huge Sunday clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Sky Sports' live coverage is being increase for the upcoming season, with at least 215 games shown on the channel - and at least four matches per week.

They will also broadcast multiple games at the same time for 2pm kick-offs on Sunday afternoons to add to their coverage as part of a new programme called 'Multiview'.

But another significant change sees a new song whenever Sky Sports are broadcasting Premier League action.

So many iconic tracks have had the huge honour in the past, including Tinie Tempah's 'Written in the Stars', 'Lovin' Each Day' by Ronan Keating, Moloko's 'Time is Now' and Fatboy Slim's anthem 'Right Here, Right Now'.

'Stop This Flame' has been the soundtrack since 2020 but that is all changing, with a reworked version of 'G.O.A.T' by Kasabian featuring Cristale being brought in.

This is the second time Kasabian have got the gig, having had 'Club Foot' as the Sky Sports intro between 2009 and 2011. Fire was also used before and after live games shown in over 200 countries but not the UK and Ireland in a three-year period.

Reacting to the news, one fan on X wrote: "Kasabian being used as the sky premier league intro again, whisper it quietly but this country may be back."

A second said: "Chelsea winning the title to a Kasabian track, hell yes."

A third added: "Do Leicester City get any of the royalties - they could definitely do with it."

A fourth user chimed in, commenting: "Stop this Flame was genuinely one of my favourite intros when they did it but they kept it for so long I am immensely glad it’s over."

Sky Sports' pundits will largely remain the same, with Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and Roy Keane once again leading the opinions.

However, this time around Mark Chapman will assist Kelly Cates and David Jones with presenting duties.

Chapman has fronted Carabao Cup coverage in recent times and will share Match of the Day hosting with Cates and Gabby Logan.
