The world number one Fantasy Premier League (FPL) manager over the past two seasons has given some valuable tips ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
We are just five days away from the start of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, with champions Liverpool set to get things going with a home fixture against Bournemouth at Anfield on August 15.
And ahead of gameweek one, supporters will be excited for several reasons – namely for FPL.
The deadline for users to lock in their teams is 90 minutes before the first match of each gameweek, which is 6:30 pm BST on Friday.

And with more than 500 players to choose from, you may be struggling to refine your squad ahead of the season.
But rest assured, the number one FPL manager over the past two campaigns may be able to help.

Keyuran Govender finished an overall rank of 13 during the 2024/25 season, having finished 229th in the world the campaign before.

Speaking in an interview with All About FPL, he said: “I honestly didn’t know that I was the number 1 ranked FPL manager in the world over the past 2 seasons until the end of July came around! The past two seasons have been unreal for me, and I have to say that I’m very grateful to have done so well.”
During the interview, he explained several processes he follows before locking in his choices, including following as many accounts that distribute useful information, such as statistics, as possible.
Govender explained: “Follow a number of accounts on X, but my top 3 are The FPL Wire Podcast (Pras, Pranil, and Zoph), AllAboutFPL, and BigManBakar!”
So, how does his draft look right now?

Well, as you may have expected, Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, as well as Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, are included.
But Govender has also backed three lesser-fancied players to do well this season.
He revealed: “[Niklas] Fullkrug is one to watch! He is a lock in my team, and I am excited at the prospect of owning him as a GW 1 differential – The guy is a German monster with pedigree (3 goals in the last 3 pre-season games). Two others to watch out for include [Jhon] Arias of Wolves, after his heroics in the FIFA Club World Cup, and [Antoni] Milambo of Brentford. I played UCL Fantasy last season, and Milambo was a great enabler. If he is able to nail a spot down in that team, I think he could do very well, too!"
