Marc Guehi is the latest inductee into the ever-changing top ten list of the Premier League's highest-paid players.
The 25-year-old, who established himself as one of England's top centre-backs during his five-year spell at Crystal Palace, left Selhurst Park on Monday to join Pep Guardiola's title-chasers.
Guehi will move for an initial fee of around £20 million plus add-ons, which is a significantly lower price than Liverpool were close to paying in the summer before a deal collapsed on deadline day.
As well as signing a five-and-a-half year contract which will keep him at the Etihad until 2031, Guehi will earn £300,000 per week, according to The Sun.

City were reportedly happy to give the England international a hefty wage because of the so-called 'relatively modest transfer fee' paid to Palace as a result of his contract expiring at the end of the season.

If that figure is indeed correct, only Erling Haaland will earn more than Guehi at City. The Norwegian forward is currently the Premier League's highest-paid player on £525,000 per week.
So, where does Guehi feature in the top ten list? Data website Capology suggests the defender is the joint-sixth highest paid player in England's top flight alongside Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva.

Omar Marmoush, who joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt last year in a deal worth £59.1 million, is just below Guehi on a reported £295,000.

Speaking after his move to City was made official, Guehi said: “I am really happy and incredibly proud to be a Manchester City player. This move feels like the culmination of all the hard work I have put into my career.
“I am now at the best club in England and part of an unbelievable squad of players. It feels good to be able to say that. I want to grow as a player and a person, and I know at this club that’s going to happen.
“I love football – it has given me so much for so long – and to be able to continue my development at Manchester City is a really special moment for me and my family."
He added: “I absolutely cannot wait to get started now. I want to meet my team-mates, train hard, understand what the manager expects of me and then show the City fans what I can do.”
