Paul Pogba 'increasingly becoming a problem' at Juventus and club are 'fed up' with him

Paul Pogba hasn't made a competitive appearance for Juventus in his second spell, despite signing last summer after his Man United exit.

Paul Pogba faces growing uncertainty surrounding his Juventus future after the Serie A club are growing ‘tired’ with his injuries, according to reports in Italy.

The Juventus midfielder initially left Manchester United in 2012 to sign for the Serie A side for a fee of £1.5m, with Pogba thriving in his first spell in Turin.

United broke the then-world-record transfer fee in 2016 to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford as part of a stunning £89m acquisition.

However, Pogba became unsettled during his second spell at United and ran down his contract, with the ex-Red Devils star leaving at the end of last season.

Juventus re-signed the 29-year-old Frenchman on a free transfer last summer, but Pogba’s second spell at the Old Lady has been curtailed by injury.

Pogba suffered a knee injury during Juventus’ pre-season tour and underwent surgery, which ruled him out of France’s 2022 World Cup campaign.

The 2018 World Cup winner was tipped to make his sensational Juventus return for his side’s quarter-final match against Lazio in the Coppa Italia on Thursday.

Pogba has now been ruled out of the aforementioned clash by Juventus boss Max Allegri, who claimed the former United star has had a ‘relapse’ on his injury.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are ‘frustrated’ with the France international’s prolonged absence on the sideline due to his injury.

It is added that Pogba, who is under contract with Juventus until 2026, is ‘increasingly becoming a problem’ at the Italian club.

Allegri is reportedly weighing up the idea of selling the Juventus star, despite Pogba only making his return to Italy last summer.

Pogba hasn’t made an appearance for Juventus this season, with his last competitive fixture coming in United’s 4-0 thumping defeat to Liverpool last April.

Speaking ahead of the Lazio match, Allegri said: “Apart from [Leonardo] Bonucci, who is still out, the only one who won’t be available due to a flexor soreness is Pogba.

“Unfortunately, when you’re out for a long time and you raise the intensity level, you get pain... Maybe in a few weeks, he’ll be in top condition.

“He needs his body to readjust and it will take some time, you have to navigate by sight in these situations.

“From here to the end, we have to use him in the best possible way.”
