Paul Pogba’s injury hell continues as star set to undergo surgery

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba’s injury nightmare continues with the midfielder reportedly set to undergo surgery on his knee.

The Frenchman sustained an injury on the meniscus in his right knee back in July during a training session.

Earlier reports indicated that Pogba was unwilling to undergo surgery in order to represent France in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, which is due to get underway in November.

With Pogba deciding to go under the knife, it has been reported that the 29-year-old will be sideline for around 40-60 days.

As a result, his hopes of being included in the France squad for the World Cup could be in doubt as the defending champions of the world will get their tournament underway in 78 days.

Pogba rejoined Juventus after his second spell with Premier League side Manchester United ended with bitterness.

Upon his return to the Turin club, Pogba expressed his delight.

He said: “As you can see, I'm back and I'm very happy - I can't wait to start with you and win trophies with you. We'll be there on the pitch in the stadium, all together.”
