Remember Alberto Gilardino? The legendary Italian is considered to be one of the greatest strikers in Serie A history, having netted 188 goals in the top tier.

The 2005 Serie A Football of the Year won the Champions League during his time with AC Milan, where he scored 44 goals after arriving from Parma.

He then scored 59 goals in his time as Fiorentina, before turning out for Genoa and Bologna. He became a bit of a journeyman after that, and though you probably thought he'd called time on his career, he is in fact still going strong at the ripe old age of 35.

The 2006 World Cup winner signed with Serie B side Spezia in October and proved he still has with a brilliant brace in the 2-1 win over Cittadella on Friday.

One of the goals was one of the sweetest volleys you will ever have seen. Think van Basten and van Persie's infamous over the shoulder volleys but rolled into one big beautiful goal.
