Jurgen Klopp triggers a full-team press vs Netherlands with a single hand movement

Germany head coach Jurgen Klopp produced one of the most satisfying moments of the season after a single hand gesture triggered a trademark full-team press against the Netherlands.

Klopp made his long-awaited return to the dugout on Thursday night, two months after succeeding Julian Nagelsmann as Germany head coach.

It was an evening of mixed fortunes for the former Liverpool manager, who watched on as a 92nd-minute equaliser from Cody Gakpo, of all players, spoiled his much-anticipated Germany debut.

Away from Gakpo's goal in the dying stages, one of the more entertaining moments from the game in Amsterdam came when Klopp appeared to trigger a full-team press with a single hand movement.

As you can see in the footage below, every single German player responded to the touchline gesture as defender Jan Paul van Hecke prepared to receive the ball from full-back Denzel Dumfries.

It was a satisfying moment that soon went viral on social media, with one fan commenting: "First game and Klopp already invoking his demonic pressing," while a second said: "He literally used the force."

A third wrote: "The Klopp-effect."

Felix Nmecha opened the scoring for Germany with a tap-in from close range, but after failing to double their lead, Xavi's side pounced at the death to secure a hard-fought point at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

Klopp has already made his intentions clear, according to a report from BILD, which claims he has introduced a number of strict rules that all players must follow.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss has prohibited every single member of his squad from getting a haircut at the team hotel, with players having to book hair appointments before they arrive on international duty.

Klopp is all about focus and will not allow any of his players to go on their mobile phones before games. They are also required to arrive together and promptly for team dinners which have been organised.

As we all know, the German places a huge amount of emphasis on team spirit. Klopp wants to improve communication, camaraderie and discipline, so he is set to reduce visits from family during major tournaments.

There is no word on potential punishments for players who fall afoul of the regulations, but BILD say Klopp is "completely overhauling" the national team.
