Vitesse Player Gives Referee A Yellow Card After Bizarre Incident

In arguably the funniest moment of the Eredivisie season thus far, Vitesse midfielder Navarone Foor has given referee Jochem Kamphuis a yellow card during their 5-0 win over FC Twente.

It all happened in the 60th minute when Foor accidentally tripped the referee after he was challenge by a Twente player in the centre of the pitch.

Footage suggests the official might have landed on the Vitesse winger, which resulted in the referee being awarded a yellow card.

Luckily for the player, it was taken it good spirits and the game continued.

You don't see this happen very often!

FC Twente, who were crowned the Dutch champions in 2009/2010, suffered the heavy 0-5 loss to Vitesse today and as a result, relegation from the Eredivisie was confirmed.

It is the first time since 1984 that the club have been relegated from the top flight and you've got to honest, they didn't deserve to stay up after an abysmal season.

How times have changed:

At least you witnessed a referee receive a yellow card, lads.
