Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has been approached over a potential investment in Liverpool - and here is where his net worth ranks among the Premier League's richest.
Bezos has reportedly discussed joining a syndicate of investors led by former Queens Park Rangers co-owner Amit Bhatia, the son-in-law of billionaire steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal.
On Tuesday, a spokesperson for Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's majority owners, confirmed the interest from Bhatia's consortium, stating: "An investment consortium led, managed, and represented by Amit Bhatia has expressed interest in making a strategic minority investment in Liverpool Football Club."
The 62-year-old has previously explored bids for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders, but decided against pursuing either deal, and there are no guarantees he will in the Merseyside giants.
