'Your Mother' - Footage Shows How Incensed Lionel Messi Was After Huge Argentina Win In Bolivia

Things got a bit fiery at high altitude...

Lionel Messi was incensed at the final whistle despite captaining Argentina to a memorable win over Bolivia last night.

Argentina came from behind to secure a first win away in La Paz, the city which sits 3,640 metres above sea level, since 2005.

Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa were on target for La Albiceleste - ending a ridiculous four-year run in which Argentina's only goals in World Cup qualifiers were either scored by Messi or went down as own goals.

It was a monumental victory for Lionel Scaloni's side, evidenced in the way they celebrated the goals and the final whistle being blown.

But there was trouble at the end of the game as tensions blew over a tad. Messi appeared to be heavily involved and had some choice words for Bolivia goalscorer Marcelo Martins Moreno and coach Lucas Nava.

TyC Sports report that Messi said to Nava, "THE C*** OF YOUR MOTHER. WHAT'S UP, BALD?"" - as well as "You were screaming the whole game. What are you doing trouble? From the bench you are yelling at me the whole game."

When Messi loses his temper, you know about it.

It was a scruffy affair played at incredibly high altitude and with the need for extra oxygen to be inhaled, but it was a huge result in Argentina's push for World Cup qualification in 2022.

'We knew what this game meant to us because of its history," goalscorer and Inter Milan striker Martinez said post-match.

"'We're not going to deny that it's difficult to play here."

"I think this team showed lots of heart and lots of brains. We're very happy."
