Manchester United have received enquiries from other clubs into the chances of taking Mason Greenwood on a temporary loan deal.

Greenwood was suspended by United over a year ago, when he was arrested on suspicion of alleged rape and assault, and later placed on bail.

He hasn't played or trained with the Premier League club throughout that time, last appearing in a game against West Ham United on January 22nd 2022.

That suspension has remained in place, despite the fact the charges were dropped at the beginning of February this year, following the withdrawal of a key witness.

Rather than bring the forward back into the team just yet, the club have decided to hold their own investigation into the player, before deciding anything on his future.

One report has claimed that some players are happy to see the Englishman return to the squad at some point, though others have said that the Women's team would not be keen on seeing him at the club.

With the player's future up in the air, he could potentially be sold in the future, and that is coming a step closer, with the first enquiries for him.

According to Daily Telegraph reporter, Mike McGrath, clubs in Turkey, and other places where the transfer window is still open, have spoken to United about the potential of taking him on loan.

There aren't too many transfer windows that remain open right now, with most of Europe's top leagues having theirs shut at the end of January.

On this continent, Norway, Iceland and Faroe Islands' windows all remain open, whilst further away from England, the likes of South Korea, Japan, Singapore and Nigeria are all in the same position.

Previously, Super Lig side Fenerbahce have been strongly linked with a future move for the 21-year-old, as well as a potential transfer to the Far East in China.

Greenwood has had his first face-to-face meeting with United in recent weeks, coming ahead of the recent Europa League win over Barcelona.

Erik ten Hag's side are certainly not in need of rushing the forward back into their team right now, in terms of their form on the pitch.

Having won the Carabao Cup at the weekend, they remain in contention for all three other competitions they started the season in.

The atmosphere in the team is clearly excellent as well, with plenty of examples of their togetherness, including little details from Bruno Fernandes and, after beating West Ham on Wednesday night, Fred.
