Qatari bidders for Man Utd 'have no targets lined up for summer window' as Sheikh Jassim concerns revealed

Qatari bidders for Man Utd 'have no targets lined up for summer window' as Sheikh Jassim concerns revealed

It's not good news for United fans.

Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has no summer transfer targets for Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.

The publication has claimed the Qatari has not planned any summer business and is just focusing on trying to buy the club.

Indeed, if his bid succeeds that would not mean the Premier League giants would try to sign Neymar, as has been reported elsewhere.

United are said to be one of the clubs to have been approached by the Brazilian's representatives, with the 31-year-old trickster likely to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Meanwhile, the same report alleges United are interested in signing Harry Kane, Declan Rice and Mason Mount in the coming window.

However, it is unlikely they will purchase all three players with their plans dependent on United's impending takeover. The club's No 1 target is Tottenham striker Kane, who is the player that Erik ten Hag is said to want the most.

Sheikh Jassim cooling Man Utd interest?

According to a fresh El Pais report, Sheikh Jassim has cooled his interest in United.

The Qatari banker has allegedly placed a bid worth around £5billion to purchase 100 per cent of the club, which is a world record offer for a sports team but still a billion short of the Glazer family's valuation.

Sheikh Jassim had reportedly initially been told that the club's asking price was £5.2billion, and given the Glazer's have raised that price-tag the Qatari is prepared to walk away.

Sheikh Jassim has already tabled four separate offers for the the Old Trafford club but has been unsuccessful each time, and he is allegedly now stepping back to assess his options.

The same publication claims that the Qatari could switch his attention to West Ham United if he is unsuccessful in purchasing the 20-time English champions.

Ineos owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also in the running to buy United, with the British billionaire having made an offer for a majority stake that allows Joel and Avram Glazer to maintain some connection with the club.
