Manchester City players were watching Arsenal's game with Nottingham Forest and the moment they were crowned champions has been caught on camera.

It hasn't always been easy for City in their chase to win a third title in-a-row with Arsenal leading the way for most of the campaign.

However their recent form mixed with City's own brilliant run in has seen Pep Guardiola's side catch and overtake Mikel Arteta's team.

Last weekend's loss to Brighton for Arsenal meant that City were one win away from capturing their fifth title in the past six years.

It was expected that the win would come on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium, with City playing hosts to Frank Lampard's abysmal Chelsea side.

However the Manchester side didn't even have to wait that long with Arsenal losing 1-0 to Forest on Saturday evening, thanks to Taiwo Awoniyi's first half goal.

There were great scenes at the City Ground at full time as the result secured Forest's stay in the top tier of English football with a game to spare.

And there were more celebrations in the north west of England as City's stars got together to watch the game, and they began their jubilations as the whistle for the end of the game blew.

The scenes from the City players were reminiscent of the time Leicester City won the league in 2016, though it wasn't as great as the party at Jamie Vardy's house.

Guardiola's side may now find themselves given a Guard of Honour by their opponents at home on Sunday, something they're getting used to.

It's only the third time in the Premier League era that a team has won the title for three successive years, with both other occasions being their rivals Manchester United.

No side has ever won four on the bounce and it would already take a very brave man to bet against City knocking off that record.

Of more immediate concern to them will be the chance to add both the FA Cup and Champions League to their trophy cabinet before the summer.

They take on United at Wembley on June 3rd, in a game that some fans claim they would genuinely rather win than the Champions League.

Their chance to win the European title for the first time comes a week after the first final, when they'll take on Inter Milan in Istanbul.
