Agent Jorginho thanked by Chelsea fans after Arsenal lose Premier League title race

Life was going well for Mikel Arteta's team but a mixture of their form and Manchester City's has seen them lose the title.

Arsenal's title aspirations came to an end on Saturday evening after their loss to Nottingham Forest, and Chelsea fans were putting it down to 'Agent Jorginho.'

For the second time in-a-week Arsenal lost a game that they would have been expected to win, as they went down 1-0 to Forest.

The defeats have meant that Manchester City have been crowned as Premier League champions for the third year in-a-row, before they've played a game.

It's part of a greater run of form that has seen the Gunners pick up just nine points out of the last 24 available to them since April 8th, whilst the juggernaut that is City have picked up 21 from 21.

Despite City's brilliance there has been claims from some that Arteta's side bottled the league title having been 11 points clear at one point.

That was back in January before the two sides had met each other in the league yet, games that would both be won by City when they did face off.

It was still the winter transfer window and the Gunners decided to add depth to their squad which saw Jorginho sign as midfield cover from Chelsea.

The Italian scored a very important goal earlier in the run in but the fact he signed for the team when they were still five points clear of their rivals, with a game in hand, has led Chelsea fans to be pleased with the transfer.

"He’s HIM! The self made agent," one Chelsea fan said with glee, "Arsenal were clear when they welcomed Jorginho to the squad. Mission accomplished."

"Thank you Jorginho, for everything. What a loyal servant you’ve been to Chelsea over all these seasons. All the best," added a second.

A third exclaimed, "Agent Jorgi. Once a Blue, Always a Blue."

"Agent Jorginho. Your mission is over. Return to base," laughed a fourth supporter.

Another claimed, "Big fan of Jorginho coming in and pointing and directing Arsenal from 5 points clear with a game in hand to 4 points behind having played two extra games."

"Sorry I ever doubted you Jorginho. Proper Chels," apologised a sixth.

Despite the fact their own team are having a dreadful season Blues' fans were enjoying themselves because of Jorginho and their former manager.

Thomas Tuchel's Bayern Munich appeared to throw away the Bundesliga title by losing to RB Leipzig on Saturday and leaving Borussia Dortmund just needing to win their final two games to stop Bayern's run as German champions.

Chelsea supporters won't be laughing so much when their team have to give City a guard of honour on Sunday, whilst sitting 42 points behind their opponents.
