A club have reportedly made a world record £350 million (€400 million) bid for Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal.
Yamal, 18, is widely considered to be the best young player in the world, having made his Barcelona debut as a 15-year-old back in 2023.
Despite still being in the fledgling years of what promises to be an iconic career, the Barca winger has already starred for both his club and country - helping Spain win Euro 2024, while he was integral in Barca’s treble-winning 2024/25 campaign, during which they won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de España as well as reach the Champions League semi-finals before being knocked out by Inter.
In May of 2025, Yamal committed his future to Barca for a further six years until 2031 and became the highest-paid teenager in world football as a result.

According to The Athletic, Yamal earns just shy of €40m (£33.5m) a year before tax - although that sum is based on whether he achieves all of his performance-related bonuses.
This equates to £644,000 per week or £3,385 an hour and £63 per minute.

So, at least you’d expect such sums of cash to fend off any potential interest from other clubs.

But according to Fichajes, this is not the case.
The outlet reports that Saudi club Al-Hilal have tabled a world record £350m bid for the starlet. The site claims that Barca rejected the supposed offer and want to retain the player.
If Yamal were to trade life in Catalonia for a switch to Riyadh, he would link up with former Liverpool man Darwin Nunez, ex-Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly and previous Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo.
So, what has Yamal said about his future?

Well, it’s fair to say that, at least publicly, he has made it clear where he expects to be playing his football in the future.
Speaking in February of 2025, Yamal explained how it would he “impossible” for him to leave the Catalan club when discussing previous interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

“I think it's impossible that I would go to another club,” Yamal told Mundo Deportivo.

"I don't think anyone doubts how much I love this club.”
In a 2024 interview with Spanish TV show El Hormiguero, Yamal also stated his desire to become a “legend” at Barca, as well as saying, “I hope I never leave”.
Yamal is currently out injured and was forced to withdraw from the Spain squad for the October internationals, having earlier missed Barca’s 4-1 La Liga defeat away at Sevilla on October 5.
