Georgina Rodriguez opens up on her three previous miscarriages and how her 'heart shattered' after death of her baby boy

Georgina Rodriguez admitted that she "wasn't prepared to accept or recognise what had happened to me" after the death of her son, Angel.

Georgina Rodriguez has candidly revealed that she had “three previous miscarriages” after she and Cristiano Ronaldo lost their baby during childbirth in 2022.

The 29-year-old model has been dating Ronaldo, who previously was in a relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk, since 2016 after first meeting in Spain’s capital city of Madrid.

Rodriguez and Al Nassr superstar Ronaldo welcomed their first child together, Alana Martina, in 2017 before the birth of daughter Bella Esmeralda last April.

The Spanish influencer and model was expected to have twins, but only Bella survived the childbirth while twin brother Angel tragically passed away.

Ronaldo, who had sons Cristiano Jr and Mateo and daughter Eva Maria before his relationship with Rodriguez, revealed he kept his son’s ashes in a chapel at his home.

Speaking on her previous miscarriages, Rodriguez said: “Every time I went to the gynaecologists at night, I had nightmares because I was worried about what position they would be in, what the delivery would be like, if it would be a Caesarean section.

“I was very afraid at each ultrasound. I felt very tense because I’d had three previous miscarriages and I came home in pieces.”

Rodriguez’s life is the subject of the second season of Netflix’s documentary I Am Georgina, which is set to premiere on the streaming platform on Friday.

Ronaldo’s partner revealed that a “piece of my heart shattered” after Angel passed away and initially found it difficult to tell her kids what happened.

“They were born on Easter Monday. The most-awaited moment arrives and your heart stops,” Rodriguez said in the documentary.

“Bella was born strong and healthy but a piece of my heart shattered. You ask yourself how you’re going to carry on.

“I wasn’t prepared to accept or recognise what had happened to me and I wasn’t ready to tell my children about it.

“As I still had a belly, I told them that Angel was still going to wait a bit to be born, until Cris told them that Angel was in Heaven. That was a dose of reality.”
