Manchester United and Real Madrid could make a swap deal that would be hugely beneficial to both clubs.
Despite the fact that the summer transfer window still feels like a recent memory, it's now just 10 weeks until the window reopens on January 1.
With many of the biggest clubs in the world making several major signings across the summer, it is expected that the winter window will be a lot quieter.
Among the clubs that were bust in the summer window, were both Real Madrid and Manchester United, who both made a number of statement signings throughout the window.

But that doesn't rule them out from staying busy in January, as the pair could make a huge swap deal as both clubs are interested in a player at the rival club.
Across the summer, Ruben Amorim brought several new attackers into his Manchester United team, with Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko joining.
With the attacking lineup sorted, it has widely been reported that he will now turn his attention to midfield, with several players linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Among the various players linked with United, it is believed that Real Madrid's Endrick is at the very top of Amorim's transfer list, amid reports that the Brazilian youngster is growing increasingly frustrated at the Spanish club.
And if United are looking to advance their reported pursuit of the 19-year-old, they might be able to sort out one of the problems in their squad in the process by offering out-of-favour midfielder Kobbie Mainoo as part of the deal.
Like Endrick, Mainoo has struggled to find regular minutes this season, leading to various claims that he will leave the club in the near future.
Over the summer, the Englishman was heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Real Madrid said to be monitoring the situation, while Mainoo was keen to explore the move.

However, it's almost certain that any swap deal involving Endrick and Mainoo would not be permanent, likely only lasting until the end of the current campaign.
But even this could be difficult after Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso addressed the possibility of Endrick leaving on loan ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash against Juventus.
"Endrick on loan? We're not at that point yet,” Alonso declared.

"The competition in attack is intense. We have to be prepared for every game. Endrick, Gonzalo, and Brahim have to be ready.
"They're going to come in, and have to be ready. This is the elite, and we need a lot of good players."
Despite this, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has recently doubled down on his reports that Endrick want to leave the club on loan in January in order to maximise his chances of making Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil sqaud for the 2026 World Cup next summer.
