Man Utd contacted over stunning Real Madrid transfer that nobody expected

Manchester United have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign Real Madrid starlet Endrick in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old is reportedly considering his future at Madrid amid concerns he could struggle for regular playing time under Jose Mourinho next season.

Endrick impressed during a loan move with Lyon last season, where he scored five goals and notched seven assists for the French side. Those performances were enough to earn him a place in the Brazil squad at the World Cup during the summer, but they might not be enough to earn regular playing time at Madrid.

It has been an extremely busy summer at the Bernabéu, with Mourinho ringing the changes upon his return to the club. Madrid have already signed Carlos Espi as a new backup striker and completed a deal worth an estimated £120 million for RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande.

To make playing time even harder, star forward Vinicius Junior has signed a new long-term contract that is expected to limit his playing time over the coming campaign.

TEAMtalk claim those summer movements have convinced Endrick to consider his future and raised the possibility of an exit before transfer deadline day. The report claims that the player's representatives have already begun their due diligence on several possible moves.

It is claimed that Endrick would favour a move to the Premier League and that several clubs have been contacted via intermediaries to gauge whether they would be interested in a transfer.

Man United are one of the clubs that have supposedly held talks over a potential move, but they are not the only ones. Chelsea have long-term interest in the Brazil international, while Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have also been suggested as potential destinations. Interestingly, the report also mentions Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham, with the latter now managed by former Real Madrid player and manager Álvaro Arbeloa.

It would appear a move to one of those last three clubs would make the most sense. The report claims Real Madrid president Florentino Perez remains a huge admirer of the youngster and does not want him to be let go at such a young age.

For those reasons, a loan exit would appear to be the most likely resolution before deadline day. The report concludes that Madrid's preference would be to sanction a straight loan, with no option to make the deal permanent at the end of it.

Those terms might appeal to a club like Fulham, but they are unlikely to convince Man United to make a move, when they would effectively be developing another team's player without any long-term reward.
