A statistic involving Ruben Amorim has blown the mind of fans after yet another miserable Manchester United defeat.
The Red Devils were beaten 3-1 by Brentford on Saturday lunchtime, with Amorim now having lost 17 games out of 33 in the Premier League since taking the United job in November 2024.
The result only added to the pressure Amorim finds himself in after being backed with funds in the summer transfer window.
United, who were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two Grimsby Town, have reportedly drawn up a three-manager shortlist should they decide to pull the trigger on Amorim.

However, Simon Stone of BBC Sport claims minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is still backing Amorim despite the club's dire run of form under his tutelage and no evidence that his precious 3-4-3 formation can bring results.

On Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, there was an emphasis on just how bad Amorim's tenure has been in comparison to other United managers and others with a poor record in the Premier League.
Stats were shown on the screen in the studio where Dave Jones and Jamie Carragher were joined by former Everton striker Duncan Ferguson.
Ruben Amorim's horrific Man United record
Amorim's record in 33 games was comfortably below the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, David Moyes, Erik ten Hag, Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal.

But even more worryingly, only four managers in the history of the Premier League have taken fewer points than Amorim in their first 33 games.

Ossie Ardiles took 33 points with Spurs, while Egil Olsen had 32 points on the board for Wimbledon.

Meanwhile, Dave Merrington and Roberto Martinez both had 31 with Southampton and Wigan respectively, with Steve Kean of Blackburn Rovers the lowest on 29 points.
With 34 points from 33 games, Amorim is in the same company as the aforementioned names and only Spurs and West Ham are below United in the table since he replaced Ten Hag.
Closing on a year in the United hotseat, Amorim will be entitled to around £12 million in compensation if he is sacked prior to November 1 when they take on Nottingham Forest.
Former United midfielder and coach Michael Carrick has emerged as a potential short-term fix, with reports claiming he would be tempted over a return.

Carrick had a brief spell as caretaker manager following the sacking of Solskjaer in 2021, winning two and drawing one in his three games in charge.
United look to bounce back to winning ways with the visit of high-flying Sunderland on Saturday.
