Ruben Amorim has already decided on his first January transfer if he remains as Manchester United manager, it has been reported.
The Portuguese boss has come under increasing pressure from some supporters over the past week after United lost 3-1 to Brentford.
They have now picked up just seven points from their opening six Premier League matches and sit in 14th place in the table heading into the weekend's fixtures.
United host Sunderland at Old Trafford on Saturday, in what could be a pivotal match for Amorim's future.

The Telegraph reported on Friday night that Amorim is under 'acute pressure' heading into the fixture, though The Athletic's David Ornstein claims that the 40-year-old currently still retains the support of United bosses.
According to Football Insider, Amorim has identified the goalkeeping position as the key area that needs to be strengthened in the January transfer window.
United signed Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp in the summer, but the 21-year-old has so far failed to overtake Altay Bayindir in the pecking order.

Turkey international Bayindir has started all six of United's Premier League fixtures so far this season, but has conceded 11 goals.
It is claimed that Amorim wants to launch a fresh move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez after the club failed to sign him in the summer.
The Argentinian was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the closing days of the window, and he was left out of Villa's home defeat to Crystal Palace in August.
Martinez waited at Villa's training ground on deadline day to see if he would get the green light to join United, but The Athletic reported that, as per those close to the goalkeeper, he would 'have no issue' over not sealing his move.

The 33-year-old has since been reintegrated into the first team under Unai Emery, though reserve goalkeeper Marco Bizot put in an impressive display in Martinez's enforced absence during Thursday's 1-0 Europa League win over Bologna.
The Sun claimed last month that Amorim is still in the market for a goalkeeper despite Lammens' arrival.
And former United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider: "They wanted him [Martinez], he wanted the move, but at the end of the day they couldn't come to an agreement with Villa so the deal collapsed.

"They've gone and got Lammens now, but Amorim has been saying he still wants a goalkeeper, so the recruitment team will be looking at their options. I have no doubt Martinez is still one of those."
