Amorim has been at the helm since his appointment in November 2024.
He arrived midway through the 2024/25 campaign following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag.
Amorim initially wanted to join Man United at the end of the 2024/25 season, but the club presented him with a now or never ultimatum, forcing him to sign.

Before hiring Amorim, Man United considered reappointing Solskjaer on a temporary basis, having enjoyed a spell as caretaker and permanent manager.
That's according to The Sun, claim who Man United considered bringing the Norwegian club legend back to Old Trafford, making him a viable short-term replacement for Amorim should he be relieved of his duties.

Solskjaer had a stunning spell as interim Man United manager before landing the job on a full-time basis.
He was sacked in November 2021.
Solskjaer returned to management by taking the Besiktas gig in January. He was dismissed in August.

Speaking in September 2024, Solskjaer opened the door for a stunning return to Man United.
"If your family asks you, you say yes every day of the week," he said, as per Norwegian outlet VG. "It feels wrong to talk about jobs other people have. But I say yes.”
The 52-year-old has previously admitted that the club still has a special hold over him.
"I have cried, as a grown man, twice in my life," he said in 2023. "The first time was after my testimonial. And then, a year and a half ago, when I had to leave. Manchester United just does something to you."
