Gary Neville was critical of Ruben Amorim after Manchester United's Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
On Tuesday night, United were looking to build on their 1-0 win over Newcastle United as they welcomed bottom-side Wolves to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Wolves were desperately trying to get points on the board after what has been a truly dreadful start.
After United's 4-1 win over Wolves at the Molineux earlier in the month, it was expected that Ruben Amorim's men would secure another three points.

The Red Devils went 1-0 up in the 27th minute thanks to Joshua Zirkzee's deflected shot.
However, Ladislav Krejci made it 1-1 just before the half-time whistle.
During the second half, United were poor as Wolves looked like they would be the most likely team to score.
In stoppage time, Patrick Dorgu had a goal ruled out for offside, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Amorim's men were booed as the final whistle sounded.

Speaking after the match, ex-United defender Neville was far from impressed with Amorim's tactics.
He said on The Gary Neville Podcast: "They weren't just booed off at full-time. The fans waited in the stadium to continue to boo them. I'm not going to get emotional but that was the baddest of the bad that.
"We saw them warming up in the system of the three at the back and I said to you (Seb Hutchinson, Sky commentator), they were warming up in the wrong shape against Newcastle to fool everybody so I'd ignore that. As soon as I saw that shape was going to be played, it just doesn't work. After five minutes I thought, that's not going to work all night, that is going to be a bad performance."
Neville continued: "After 20 minutes, I said they might score twice but this isn't right. They've gone backwards. I'm not quite sure why they have changed. Wolves have probably been the better team.
"When I see that we go back [to three at the back] after five minutes tonight and I'm thinking, no, Ruben, why have you done that?. The manager has to look at that and think, I got that wrong. I complicated it."
Neville also criticised Amorim's in-game changes, he said: "They made Manchester United worse. Every single substitution was bizarre.
"If Zirkzee wasn't injured and that was a tactical substitution, it was a really poor one. Zirkzee isn't Eric Cantona, by any stretch of the imagination, but he needed to be out there for physicality, for presence, for experience.
"And he'd scored. You couldn't take him off. So I'm hoping he's injured. I'm hoping he's injured for Ruben Amorim."
United are back in Premier League action this weekend when they take on Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.
