Bizarre Marcus Rashford blunder spotted in Sky Sports' graphics for Arsenal vs Man United

Bizarre Marcus Rashford blunder spotted in Sky Sports' graphics for Arsenal vs Man United

Marcus Rashford started in Manchester United's defeat to Arsenal.

A bizarre Marcus Rashford blunder was spotted in Sky Sports' graphics ahead of the big clash between Arsenal and Manchester United.

Sunday's Emirates showdown was the pick of the Premier League fixtures in gameweek 4.

It's one of the standout games in England's top flight, having produced some epic matches down the years.

Sky Sports aired the latest chapter in the history of Arsenal vs. Man United, but the broadcaster's graphics left fans scratching their heads.

During the line-up reveal before kick-off, Rashford can be seen in socks - wearing NO boots.

According to The Daily Star, when Sky Sports headed to Man United's Carrington training base to record their footage for graphics, the star forward hadn't yet confirmed the boots he would wear for the season.

Once the game kicked off, Rashford got people talking as he scored a superb goal to open the scoring.

From the left wing, he cut onto his trusted right peg and fired a strike past Aaron Ramsdale in net.

But Arsenal hit back immediately as Martin Odegaard swept home a brilliant finish to level proceedings.

Alejandro Garnacho thought he had put his side in the lead late on until VAR ruled out his goal.

Declan Rice then scored deep, deep into stoppage time before Gabriel Jesus added a third.

The decisions which supposedly went against Man United angered Erik ten Hag, who slammed the officiating and VAR following the crushing defeat.

"The [Arsenal] penalty was given but rejected, but [Kai Havertz] was not booked for it," he said. "There was a foul on [Rasmus] Hojlund in the penalty area, not even noticed by VAR. And the disallowed goal from Garnacho, it was the wrong angle, I think it was onside. Arsenal's second goal - how can they allow that goal? It was a clear foul on Jonny Evans."
